So/On is the current pseudonym i use when making music on my own. In the past i’ve used a couple others- The Killpatrick, Anchor By Monitor, Ohiowa, and p.electronics. I may change it again, i may not, who knows.
currently, So/On is electronics based, i’ve done four recordings under this moniker.
1. an ep of analog electronic improvisations called “000″ available from _fissure you can download it here
2. a 3″Cd-r of computer processed electric guitar recorded on 4-track cassette called “001″ was made in a very limited edition and is very out of print.
3. a full length of textural constructions using autoharp, electric guitar, field recordings and computer called “Deep End Dents” (familiar huh) that will more than likely be available through _fissure in the near future.
4. an Ep of rhythmic computer constructed noise and sinewaves bordering on Raster-Noton style minimal techno called “Ke_ep” that will also be available from _fissure in the near future.
currently the set up is shifting once again. I’m devising a simple laptop set-up for rhythmic works and a more sprawling set-up involving analog percussion synthesizers. I’ll elaborate on this a bit later.
